The more I settle in Miranda, the more I itch to redecorate her according to my tastes. I won't be using Go Modern for inspiration, that's for sure!
My tastes run to non-cluttered 'cottagey shabby chic French provençal' and I have a serious disdain for contemporary furniture. I like wicker and antiques!
If you like black furniture, a site like that might be useful to you. I prefer cream. In fact, I'm actually dabbling with the idea of one day painting Miranda's oak cabinets cream!
They also promote glass tables. I can just imagine the paw prints on one of those (plus the breakage factor in an RV!).
But if your tastes favour sleek lines and stark minimalism, I'm sure you'll find something to fall in love with at Go Modern.

Mailboxes
In the market for a commercial mailbox? Mailboxixchange offers some very nice ones, as well as mailboxes for residential use and other related products.
Since I'm someone who feels that everything she touches should be both useful and beautiful, if I were ever to start a business, such as a rental property, I would probably start with them in my search for a commercial mailbox with an 'antiquey' feel to it.
In addition to commercial mailboxes, they sell house numbers, curbside decor items, and assorted sundries, for a total of about 2,500 different products for both commercial and residential use. They also have an affiliate program.

Beautiful, Unique, and Functional
I try to bring into my life things that are beautiful, unique, and functional and I pay attention to detail. Whenever I have my own home again, I'd like to have a 100% personalized house, down to the toilet flusher (cue in laughter). One thing I never considered was mailboxes.
My first thought when I came to this site was to roll my eyes as I thought "Yay, more junk for the rich crowd." But, I still gave the site a perusal and decided that I like the offerings. Seattleluxe.com sells a wide variety of mailboxes for both residential and commercial uses. Custom, anti-theft, multiple unit and unique mailboxes are a few of the thousands of varieties of mailboxes that Seattleluxe.com sells. The right mailboxes can both beautify your home and protect your identity from mail theft.
Seattle Luxe sells a variety of other products ranging from butcher blocks to mirrors, and just about everything is beautiful, unique, and functional. It's definitely one to bookmark if only for inspiration in outfitting a home.

Product Comparison Tool
There's a neat site for comparing similar products, including their reviews: wize.com.
Let's say, you're looking for a refrigerator. You can put refrigerator in the search box and the website will come up with a list of all the refrigerators out there. You can then narrow your search for a refrigerator by price, key words, brand, colour. etc. There is also a 'compare' tool for when you're trying to choose between a few models. I particularly like that there are reviews of the products. Reviews often highlight little issues or design features about a product that manufacturers don't think to mention.
Whether you are looking for a refrigerator or a car seat for your child, wize.com is a great tool for making sure you get the best bang for your buck.

Leaving My Nice, Warm, Safe Cocoon
The more blogs I read, the more I see opportunity to make some money from blogging. I've had AdSense on my blog for a while (reported earnings so far: 21 cents) and then I heard about a 'pay to blog' program called Blogsvertise. This sounds interesting; you're paid to blog about a site and the ads don't have to be an endorsement. So, there doesn't seem to be too much conflict of interest. At any rate, some of the best financial advice I ever got was to do what I love and find a way to be paid for doing it, and I love to write, so....
