Sartorial Difficulties

One of the choices I made when I entered my new life was to give up wigs and start wearing head scarves instead. I had a (small) boxful, so I figured I had enough. But, as the weeks have progressed, I'm finding myself wearing the same few outfits over and over again because I don't have scarves to match the other items in my wardrobe!

I can't believe how difficult it is to find square scarves that can be folded into a triangle of a suitable size. I'm going to have to take my search online.

Do you have hair? I am curious about this.

Maybe get some cloth and make some scarves? Solid neutral colours.

I have alopecia areata, which means that I have very, very little hair on top of my head.

Yeah, I could make some, but I LOATHE sewing.

And here I am moaning cause I got most of my own hair cut off today. . .didn't want to but felt it was best (long story.)

I sew but also hate it, am mostly suck at it. Hm. Can you not take one wig with you or is it a maintenance nightmare?

Long story? Pun intended? ;-) Seriously, that sucks. The last time I had real hair that was long enough to cut off, I was 14.

A wig requires at least as much attention as real hair, and it needs to be replaced every six to nine months, depending on its quality and the amount of care given to it.

I wanted to simplify my life, so switching to head scarves made sense.

Plus, the wig is really, really hot and itchy!

Such head scarves are worn by some Orthodox Jewish wives. Websites that cater to such would yield results - though they are unlikely to be cheap.
Congrats, I guess, on finding a home for the winter at the right price. The gang says hi.

The scarves worn by Jews and Muslims are way too big!

"I guess"???

'Hi' to the gang!
